What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Cicis Franchise Disclosure Document, after the franchise agreement expires or is terminated, Cicis will deliver any required or permitted notices to the franchisee via hand delivery, mail, or carrier to the franchisee's last known address. Additionally, Cicis will send notices via email to the franchisee's last known non-Cicis system email address.
During the term of the agreement, Cicis has the option to send notices by hand delivery, mail, carrier, or by email to the official system email address assigned to the franchisee or their owners (currently "@cicispizza.com"). The franchisee is responsible for checking this email address frequently, at least daily, to stay informed of any communications from Cicis.
Notices sent via email are considered delivered immediately. Notices sent by hand delivery, mail, or carrier are considered delivered at the earlier of actual delivery, the next business day after prepaid deposit with a nationally recognized carrier for overnight or express delivery, or three business days after prepaid deposit with the US postal service for registered or certified mail. If a notice is required to be sent by both email and by hand delivery, mail, or carrier, it is only considered delivered when both methods have been completed.
