What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Reopening Deadline for a previously closed Cicis restaurant can be found on Attachment A to Item 23. Item 23 discusses scenarios where the restaurant identified in the Franchise Agreement was formerly operated as a Cicis Restaurant but has been permanently or temporarily closed for an extended period.

As a condition of reopening, the franchisee must remodel and refresh the restaurant according to the Refresh Obligations outlined in Attachment A. The franchisee is responsible for completing these Refresh Obligations and reopening the restaurant for regular business by the Reopening Deadline, which is also specified on Attachment A.

Furthermore, the document mentions a reduction in the Initial Franchise Fee to $5,000, provided the franchisee remains in good standing. However, Cicis reserves the right to revoke this reduction if the franchisee ceases to be in good standing, in which case the franchisee will be required to pay the full Initial Franchise Fee as outlined in the Franchise Agreement.
