What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, after the franchise agreement expires or is terminated, Cicis will deliver any required or permitted notices to the franchisee via hand delivery, mail, or carrier to the franchisee's last known address. Additionally, Cicis will send notices via email to the franchisee's last known non-Cicis system email address.

This means that franchisees need to ensure Cicis has their current physical and email addresses on file, even after the franchise relationship ends, to receive important communications. This is a standard practice in franchising, as certain obligations and legal matters may persist beyond the term of the agreement. Franchisees should maintain copies of any address updates provided to Cicis for their records.

It is the franchisee's responsibility to monitor both their physical mail and email for any notices from Cicis. Failing to do so could result in missing critical information or deadlines, potentially leading to adverse consequences. Franchisees should also be aware that Cicis specifies how they must send notices to Cicis, which includes delivery to the Legal Department's address and an email to a specific Cicis email address.
