What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee chooses to pursue a proposed location and Cicis determines that another on-site inspection is appropriate, the franchisee must pay an inspection fee. This fee is estimated to range from $200 to $1,500, depending on the distance of the location from Cicis's corporate headquarters. This fee is due upon delivery of Cicis's invoice.

It is important to note that Cicis is not required to conduct on-site inspections of proposed locations. The first inspection of a proposed location is free. The franchisee will only incur this fee if they pursue a location that requires a second inspection. The cost can vary significantly based on the location's proximity to Cicis's headquarters, so franchisees should factor this potential expense into their initial budget when considering different sites.

This fee is separate from other expenses related to site selection and development, such as the expense reimbursement for on-site inspection of proposed locations, which is estimated to be between $800 and $3,025. Franchisees should carefully review all potential fees and expenses outlined in Item 5 of the FDD to understand the full financial commitment required to open a Cicis restaurant.
