What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to send any notices to Cicis via hand delivery, mail, or carrier to the address listed in the opening paragraph of the Franchise Agreement, directed to the Legal Department. In addition to physical delivery, franchisees must also send an email to notices@cicispizza.com, or any substitute email address provided by Cicis.
This dual requirement of both physical and electronic notification ensures that Cicis receives important communications from its franchisees promptly and through multiple channels. This is a fairly common practice in franchising, as it reduces the risk of a notice being missed or delayed.
Cicis specifies that notices sent via email are considered delivered immediately upon sending, while notices sent by hand delivery, mail, or carrier are deemed delivered at the earlier of actual delivery, the next business day after deposit with a nationally recognized carrier for overnight or express delivery, or three business days after deposit with the US postal service for registered or certified mail. For notices requiring both email and physical delivery, the notice is only considered delivered when both methods have been completed. Franchisees should ensure they adhere to these requirements to avoid any potential issues related to notification deadlines or compliance.
