Who can Cicis designate to receive the Technology and Support Fee payments?

During the Term of this Agreement, you will pay us, or a serviceprovider we designate (which may be us or our affiliate) a fee in the amount of $100 per month for your right to use certain technology that we mandate and make available for use in the operation of your Restaurant from time to time ("Technology and Support Fee").
You must pay the Technology and Support Fee at the times, and in the manner, designated by us or the provider of such services.
We may require you to enter into a written agreement with a third-party provider under terms and conditions we approve or require.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Technology and Support Fee is paid to Cicis or a service provider that Cicis designates. This designated service provider may be Cicis itself or one of its affiliates.
The Technology and Support Fee is $100 per month. This fee compensates Cicis for the franchisee's right to use certain mandated technology in the operation of their restaurant. This fee is separate from the costs the franchisee incurs to acquire and maintain the computer system and other technologies required to operate the restaurant.
The franchisee must pay the Technology and Support Fee at the times and in the manner designated by Cicis or the service provider. Cicis may also require the franchisee to enter into a written agreement with a third-party provider under terms and conditions that Cicis approves or requires. This means that Cicis has the flexibility to manage the technology and support systems and can change the payment recipient or require agreements with third-party providers as needed.
