There are no presently effective determinations of the U.S. Copyright Office (Library of Congress) or any court affecting our copyrights. There is no currently effective agreement that limits our right to use and/or license our copyrights. We may freely require you to modify or discontinue the use of any materials in which we claim a patent or copyright, without any compensation to you. We are not obligated to protect any rights you have to use the copyrights. We have no actual knowledge of any infringements that could materially affect the ownership, use or licensing of the copyrights.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cicis' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there are no presently effective determinations by the U.S. Copyright Office (Library of Congress) or any court affecting Cicis' copyrights. Additionally, there is no currently effective agreement that limits Cicis' right to use and/or license its copyrights.
This means that as of the FDD date, Cicis has full control over its copyrighted materials without any legal restrictions or limitations imposed by the U.S. Copyright Office or any court. Cicis is also not bound by any agreements that would limit their ability to use or license their copyrights.
However, Cicis may freely require franchisees to modify or discontinue the use of any materials in which they claim a patent or copyright, without any compensation to the franchisee. Cicis is not obligated to protect any rights the franchisee has to use the copyrights. Cicis also states that they have no actual knowledge of any infringements that could materially affect the ownership, use, or licensing of the copyrights. This indicates that while Cicis asserts copyright protection, the franchisee bears some risk regarding potential changes or discontinuation of materials and is not guaranteed protection against infringements.
