What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cicis's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, any individual operating a motor vehicle in connection with Cicis services must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license in the state where the services are provided. This requirement ensures that all drivers meet the minimum legal standards for operating a vehicle, reducing potential liability for the franchisee and maintaining the safety and reputation of the Cicis brand.

Cicis mandates that franchisees ensure their drivers comply with all applicable laws and exercise due care and caution while operating and maintaining motor vehicles. This includes adhering to traffic laws, maintaining vehicle safety, and driving responsibly. The franchisee bears the sole responsibility for the safe operation of any motor vehicle used in connection with Cicis services.

Beyond these specific requirements, Cicis does not set forth any additional standards or exercise control over the motor vehicles used by franchisees, their employees, agents, or independent contractors. This means franchisees have the flexibility to choose the vehicles they use and manage their maintenance, as long as they meet the minimum safety and legal standards. This approach balances brand protection with franchisee autonomy in managing their operations.
