What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cicis' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are solely responsible for decisions regarding employee work hours and schedules. Cicis franchisees are exclusively responsible for the terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, firing, training, compensation, work hours and schedules, work assignments, safety and security, discipline, and supervision. Franchisees must manage all employment functions of their Cicis restaurant in compliance with all applicable laws.

This means that Cicis franchisees have complete control over staffing decisions, including setting work hours and schedules for their employees. They must ensure that all employment practices comply with federal, state, and local laws, covering aspects like minimum wage, overtime, and mandated breaks.

This level of responsibility gives the franchisee flexibility in managing their workforce but also places the onus on them to stay informed about and adhere to all relevant labor laws. Failing to comply with these laws can result in legal and financial repercussions for the franchisee.
