What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Christies International Real Estate requires specific personnel to attend and complete their initial training program. The required attendees are the Responsible Broker, Office Broker, Marketing Director, and Agent Support Director for both the Main Office and any Additional Offices. These individuals, collectively referred to as "Trainees," must complete the training to the franchisor's satisfaction. The training covers the operation of a Christies International Real Estate business, Brand Guidelines, and Systems.
The initial training program does not incur a training fee for the franchisee's Trainees. However, the franchisee is responsible for covering all compensation, travel, lodging, and living expenses for the Trainees while they attend the initial training program and any additional required training. Christies International Real Estate retains the authority to decide whether an individual has successfully completed the training and can mandate the Trainees to repeat the course if necessary.
Failure to meet the standards of the initial training program can lead to termination of the franchise agreement, as outlined in Section 10.2(a) of the agreement. In addition to the initial training, Christies International Real Estate may also require Trainees to attend ongoing training, which can be delivered through various methods. The franchisee remains responsible for the costs associated with these ongoing training sessions, and Christies International Real Estate reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee for any ongoing training provided.
