What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Christies International Real Estate FDD, the Responsible Broker is a Principal Owner approved by Christies International Real Estate to oversee the Business operations and represent the franchisee in interactions with Christies International Real Estate. This individual must hold all necessary real estate licenses required for the Business to operate legally. The Responsible Broker is listed on Exhibit 1 of the franchise agreement.

In addition to holding the required licenses, the Responsible Broker must successfully complete Christies International Real Estate's initial training program. They must also attend all mandatory follow-up training programs. Christies International Real Estate has the right to require the Responsible Broker to attend and complete the initial training program to their satisfaction, at a place and time they designate. The franchisee is responsible for the compensation, travel, lodging, and living expenses incurred by the Responsible Broker in attending the initial training program and any additional required training.

Failure of the Responsible Broker to complete the initial training program to Christies International Real Estate's satisfaction can be grounds for termination of the franchise agreement. Furthermore, the franchisee must ensure that the Responsible Broker maintains all licenses, permits, and certifications required by applicable law for the duration of their affiliation with the Business.
