What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Christies International Real Estate FDD, franchisees must attend any annual conference that Christies International Real Estate sponsors or designates. Franchisees are responsible for paying the then-current Annual Conference Fee to Christies International Real Estate, as well as covering all travel and living expenses associated with attending the conference.
Failure to attend the annual conference without prior written consent from Christies International Real Estate will result in a penalty. In such cases, the franchisee must pay the then-current fee for two people for failing to attend the conference.
This mandatory conference attendance and associated fees are relatively common in the franchise industry, as they allow the franchisor to disseminate important information, provide training, and foster a sense of community among franchisees. However, the specific costs involved can vary significantly between franchise systems, so prospective Christies International Real Estate franchisees should budget accordingly and inquire about the typical Annual Conference Fee.
