What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Christies International Real Estate FDD, the annual affiliate conference is designed to keep franchisees current on all programs, processes, procedures, and other information related to operating their Christies International Real Estate business. The FDD mandates that the franchisee, or a senior representative from their leadership team approved by Christies International Real Estate, must attend the conference.
Franchisees are responsible for paying the then-current conference fee to Christies International Real Estate, as well as covering all travel and living expenses for themselves, their owners, brokers, agents, and employees. Failure to attend the annual conference without prior written consent from Christies International Real Estate results in a penalty. The franchisee must pay a fee equivalent to the cost of attendance for two people.
This mandatory conference attendance underscores the importance Christies International Real Estate places on ensuring all franchisees are aligned with the brand's operational standards and have access to the latest information. The financial implications of both attending and failing to attend highlight the need for franchisees to budget accordingly and prioritize participation in the conference. This is a common practice in franchising, where franchisors require training and ongoing education to maintain consistency and quality across the network.
