What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Christies International Real Estate Franchise Disclosure Document, the Affiliate Disclosure Questionnaire is designed to confirm that prospective franchisees are well-informed and prepared to enter into a Broker Affiliate License Agreement. The questionnaire aims to identify any unauthorized statements or promises made to the franchisee that may be untrue, inaccurate, or misleading.
The questionnaire serves as a tool for Christies International Real Estate to ensure that potential franchisees understand the risks associated with owning their own business. It helps the company confirm that it has met its legal obligations by providing all necessary information to the franchisee. By asking specific questions, Christies International Real Estate seeks to establish confidence that the franchisee is ready to operate a "CHRISTIE'S INTERNATIONAL REAL ESTATE" business successfully.
It's important to note that the questionnaire may not need to be signed. Christies International Real Estate has the option to review the questions verbally with the prospective franchisee during a pre-closing meeting and record their responses. Additionally, the FDD states that prospective franchisees in California, Maryland and Washington are not required to sign the Affiliate Disclosure Questionnaire.
