What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Christies International Real Estate FDD, a new franchisee must complete development and commence business operations within 120 days of the Effective Date of the License Agreement. Additionally, the franchisee has 90 days from the Effective Date to install all indoor and outdoor signs displaying the Business name and Marks.
Before commencing operations, the franchisee must receive prior written approval from Christies International Real Estate. This includes securing a site approved by Christies International Real Estate, as failure to do so may result in the termination of the License Agreement. The franchisee is also responsible for ensuring the premises comply with all applicable federal, state, and local ordinances, building codes, and licensing requirements, as well as obtaining all necessary permits.
If a franchisee needs to relocate their Main Office or an Additional Office due to unforeseen circumstances such as destruction or condemnation, they must reopen the replacement office within 90 days after discontinuing operations at the prior location. These timelines are critical for prospective franchisees to consider, as failure to meet them could lead to termination of the agreement or operational disruptions.
