Answer from 2025 FDD Document

If, at the time during the term of the License Agreement, you are a member of an affiliation approved by us, and are required by said affiliation to comply with its programs, policies, and procedures, then you may continue to abide by those approved membership agreements. As of the date of the License Agreement, you will list any third-party affiliations that you are currently a member of on Exhibit 6 to the License Agreement. For any additional, subsequent, or substitute affiliations that you may wish to join, you must secure our approval in advance, and we will update Exhibit 6.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Christies International Real Estate Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must secure approval in advance from Christies International Real Estate before joining any additional, subsequent, or substitute affiliations. Upon approval, Exhibit 6 of the License Agreement, which lists any third-party affiliations the franchisee is a member of, will be updated to reflect the new affiliation.

This requirement allows Christies International Real Estate to maintain oversight and control over the various affiliations its franchisees engage in. By requiring prior approval, Christies International Real Estate can ensure that these affiliations align with the brand's standards, policies, and overall business strategy. This also gives Christies International Real Estate the opportunity to evaluate potential conflicts of interest or other issues that may arise from a franchisee's involvement with a particular affiliation.

For a prospective Christies International Real Estate franchisee, this means that they cannot independently join any real estate-related organizations or programs without first obtaining the franchisor's consent. This may limit the franchisee's flexibility in choosing affiliations that they believe would benefit their business. However, it also provides a level of assurance that the affiliations they do participate in have been vetted and approved by Christies International Real Estate, potentially reducing the risk of negative impacts on their franchise operations. Franchisees should discuss potential affiliations with Christies International Real Estate early in the process to ensure a smooth transition.
