What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Christies International Real Estate FDD, attending the annual affiliate conference is mandatory for either the franchisee or a senior representative from their leadership team, subject to Christies International Real Estate's approval. The franchisee is responsible for paying the then-current conference fee set by Christies International Real Estate, as well as covering all travel and living expenses for themselves, their owners, brokers, agents, and employees.
Failure to attend the annual conference without prior written consent from Christies International Real Estate results in a penalty. The franchisee must pay a fee equivalent to the then-current conference fee for two people. This policy underscores the importance Christies International Real Estate places on franchisees staying informed about the brand's programs, processes, and procedures.
This requirement and associated fees are typical in the franchise industry, as franchisors often mandate training and conference attendance to ensure brand consistency and knowledge dissemination. However, the added penalty for non-attendance without approval is a notable condition that prospective Christies International Real Estate franchisees should consider.
