What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Christian Brothers Automotive Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to specific standards regarding advertising and promotional materials. Franchisees are required to use only advertising, identification, and promotional materials that have either been furnished by Christian Brothers Automotive or have received prior approval from them. This includes a wide range of materials such as printed and broadcast advertisements, stationery, business cards, press releases, signs, displays, leaflets, newspaper inserts, promotional mail outs, and promotional literature.

Christian Brothers Automotive mandates that all advertising conducted by the franchisee must be dignified and conform to the standards, specifications, and requirements outlined in writing, either in the Confidential Operations Manual or otherwise communicated by the franchisor. The advertising must not detract from, reflect unfavorably upon, or denigrate the Christian Brothers Automotive marks, the system, or the products.

These stipulations ensure brand consistency and protect the reputation of the Christian Brothers Automotive brand. By controlling the advertising and promotional materials used by franchisees, Christian Brothers Automotive aims to maintain a uniform and positive image across all franchise locations. This is a common practice in franchising, as it helps to build and maintain brand recognition and customer trust. Franchisees should be aware that non-compliance with these advertising standards could result in a breach of the franchise agreement.
