What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Christian Brothers Automotive Franchise Agreement, franchisees must use advertising, identification, and promotional materials, including business cards, that have been furnished or approved in advance by Christian Brothers Automotive. This requirement ensures that all advertising and promotional efforts maintain a consistent brand image and meet the standards set by the franchisor.
Christian Brothers Automotive retains control over the advertising standards to ensure that all materials conform to specifications and requirements detailed in writing, the Confidential Operations Manual, or otherwise communicated by the franchisor. The advertising must be dignified and not detract from the brand's reputation. This oversight helps maintain the integrity of the Christian Brothers Automotive brand and the System as a whole.
This means a prospective franchisee cannot independently create business cards or other promotional materials without prior approval from Christian Brothers Automotive. This is a common practice in franchising, allowing the franchisor to maintain brand consistency and quality control across all franchise locations. Franchisees should factor in the time and potential costs associated with obtaining approval for marketing materials.
