What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Christian Brothers Automotive Franchise Disclosure Document, to renew the franchise agreement, franchisees must meet certain conditions. These include providing written notice to Christian Brothers Automotive within the time frame specified in the franchise agreement. Franchisees must also be in good standing with Christian Brothers Automotive, meaning they are not in default of the agreement.
Additionally, franchisees are expected to have refurbished, redesigned, or remodeled their franchised business to meet Christian Brothers Automotive's then-current specifications and the requirements of the renewal agreement. Christian Brothers Automotive will consider how recently the premises were remodeled when determining these requirements.
Finally, franchisees must execute a general release, satisfactory to Christian Brothers Automotive, of any claims against the company and its affiliates. However, this release will not cover any future claims arising from the renewal agreement. Christian Brothers Automotive will provide notice of expiration to the franchisee if required by applicable law; otherwise, the franchisee waives any right to rely on such notice.
