According to Christian Brothers Automotive's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company began offering franchises in the automotive repair and service business in January 1996. Prior to franchising, Christian Brothers Automotive provided automotive repair and maintenance services to customers starting in August 1982. They operated at the same location until December 31, 1998, when the location was sold to a franchisee. The company reacquired the original location on January 1, 2012, and re-franchised it in 2013.

For a prospective franchisee, this indicates that Christian Brothers Automotive has been in the franchise business for almost 30 years, which suggests a degree of stability and experience. It demonstrates a long-term commitment to the business model and a willingness to reinvest in their brand.

However, prospective franchisees should also consider why Christian Brothers Automotive sold its original location in the first place and what factors led to its reacquisition. Understanding the history of the original location and the company's evolution can provide valuable insights into the potential challenges and opportunities of owning a Christian Brothers Automotive franchise.
