What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Chop5 Salad Kitchen's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for initial and ongoing training for their employees, excluding managers, and must adhere to the franchisor's training curriculum and materials. The initial training fee of $5,000 covers the pre-opening training program.

However, Chop5 Salad Kitchen may charge an additional training fee of up to $500 per person per day under specific circumstances. These include when a person attends the initial training program after the restaurant opens, attends refresher or supplemental training, retakes training after a failed attempt, attends a remedial training program, or attends additional training at the franchisee's request.

Franchisees are also responsible for all wages and travel expenses incurred by themselves and their personnel while attending training programs. If Chop5 Salad Kitchen provides onsite training or assistance, the franchisee must reimburse the franchisor for all travel expenses, except for the initial onsite training and opening assistance. Franchisees should factor these potential additional costs into their budget when evaluating the Chop5 Salad Kitchen franchise opportunity.
