ITEM 16 RESTRICTIONS ON WHAT THE FRANCHISEE MAY SELL
We must approve all goods and services you sell. You must offer all goods and services we require, including all food, beverage, merchandise, gift cards and other goods and services we require from time to time. You may not sell any goods or services we have disapproved. At any time, we may change the goods and services you sell and you must comply with the change. We may require you to participate in a gift card or other customer loyalty program in accordance with our policies and procedures.

According to Chop5 Salad Kitchen's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to offer gift cards. Chop5 Salad Kitchen must approve all goods and services that a franchisee sells. Franchisees must offer all goods and services that Chop5 Salad Kitchen requires, including food, beverages, merchandise, and gift cards.
Chop5 Salad Kitchen may require franchisees to participate in a gift card or other customer loyalty program according to their policies and procedures. Franchisees must participate in any gift card program that Chop5 Salad Kitchen establishes and honor all gift cards, including those purchased from Chop5 Salad Kitchen or another franchisee. Franchisees are prohibited from offering or selling gift cards that Chop5 Salad Kitchen has not approved.
Chop5 Salad Kitchen retains specific rights regarding gift card programs. They can determine how gift card proceeds are divided or accounted for, require that proceeds be paid to them or deposited into a trust account they control for disbursement to the relevant restaurant, and retain proceeds from unredeemed gift cards.
