What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Chop5 Salad Kitchen's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to authorize electronic debits for payments. Specifically, franchisees must sign an ACH Authorization Form, which allows Chop5 Salad Kitchen to electronically debit the franchisee's designated bank account for all amounts owed to them and their affiliates. This excludes fees due within 15 days after signing the Franchise Agreement.
This payment method ensures that Chop5 Salad Kitchen can efficiently collect fees and maintain consistent cash flow. Franchisees must deposit all Gross Sales into the designated bank account and ensure sufficient funds are available for withdrawal before each due date.
The franchisee is responsible for all taxes imposed on them or Chop5 Salad Kitchen based on products, intangible property (including trademarks), or services provided to the franchisee. This requirement is fairly standard in franchising, as franchisors need a reliable way to collect ongoing fees, and electronic debits are a common and efficient solution.
