What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Chop5 Salad Kitchen's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, an Interim Manager may be appointed by Chop5 Salad Kitchen to manage a franchisee's Restaurant under specific circumstances. These circumstances arise if the franchisee fails to appoint an approved replacement Operating Partner within 30 days after the previous Operating Partner leaves, or if the franchisee fails to correct a material breach of the franchise agreement within the given cure period.
The Interim Manager will no longer manage the Chop5 Salad Kitchen Restaurant once the franchisee either appoints an approved replacement Operating Partner who has successfully completed the required training or successfully cures the material breach that led to the appointment of the Interim Manager in the first place.
During the period that the Interim Manager is in place, the franchisee is responsible for paying Chop5 Salad Kitchen a management fee of $500 per day, as well as reimbursing Chop5 Salad Kitchen for all travel expenses incurred by the Interim Manager. The Interim Manager bears no liability to the franchisee except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct, and Chop5 Salad Kitchen assumes no liability for the Interim Manager's actions unless grossly negligent in their appointment.
