What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Chop5 Salad Kitchen Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training fee for the pre-opening initial training program is $5,000. This fee is due before the training commences. The initial training program is mandatory for the Operating Partner and initial managers before the restaurant opens. It includes approximately one week of franchise management training at a company-owned restaurant or designated location, and about two weeks of onsite training and grand opening assistance.

Chop5 Salad Kitchen may charge an additional training fee of up to $500 per person per day in certain situations. These situations include attending the initial training program after the restaurant opens, attending refresher or supplemental training, retaking training after failing, attending remedial training, or attending additional training requested by the franchisee.

While Chop5 Salad Kitchen provides initial onsite training and opening assistance at no additional cost, franchisees are responsible for all wages and travel expenses incurred while attending training programs and conferences. For multi-unit franchisees, Chop5 Salad Kitchen reserves the right to limit or waive certain aspects of the initial training program, potentially leading to a reduction or waiver of the initial training fee based on their assessment of the franchisee's and management team's qualifications and experience.
