According to Chop5 Salad Kitchen's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee's territory consists of the geographic area within a ½-mile radius from their restaurant. However, this territorial boundary is subject to change upon renewal of the franchise agreement, as Chop5 Salad Kitchen reserves the right to modify the boundaries based on their then-current territory guidelines and criteria. This means that while a franchisee initially has a defined territory, its size and shape are not guaranteed to remain the same throughout the entire duration of the franchise relationship.

Captive Venues are defined as non-traditional outlets located within establishments like hotels, college campuses, airports, or shopping malls. Chop5 Salad Kitchen also reserves the right to acquire other businesses that may compete with existing franchises, regardless of their location. These acquired businesses can be converted into Chop5 Salad Kitchen restaurants, even within a franchisee's territory. These conditions significantly limit the territorial protections offered to Chop5 Salad Kitchen franchisees and increase the risk of direct competition within their designated area.
