According to Chop5 Salad Kitchen's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees receive 0.5 hours of classroom training on supplier relationships at the Designated Training Facility in Columbus, Ohio. This training is part of the initial training program for the Operating Partner and initial Restaurant managers.
This initial training program consists of approximately one week of training at the company-owned restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, which also serves as the designated training facility, and approximately two weeks of on-site training at the franchisee's restaurant. Chop5 Salad Kitchen may utilize various training formats, including lectures, interactive role-playing, hands-on training, and self-directed online training. The training program can be modified by Chop5 Salad Kitchen at any time.
In addition to the initial training, Chop5 Salad Kitchen may require the Operating Partner and managers to attend system-wide refresher or supplemental training courses. If Chop5 Salad Kitchen inspects the restaurant and determines that it is not operating in compliance with the Franchise Agreement or the Manual, they may require the Operating Partner and managers to attend remedial training relevant to the operational deficiencies identified. The franchisee is solely responsible for training all employees and staff members other than managers.
Brian Mills, the President and Co-Founder of Chop5 Salad Kitchen, is in charge of the training program. Mr. Mills may recruit and utilize other instructors who have prior experience working in a Chop5 Salad Kitchen or who are professional trainers with significant industry experience. The franchisee is responsible for all wages and travel expenses their trainees incur for training.
