What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Chop5 Salad Kitchen Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchise Agreement does include a Site Approval Notice as an attachment. Specifically, the Site Approval Notice is designated as ATTACHMENT "B" to the agreement.
The Site Approval Notice serves to formally identify the site that Chop5 Salad Kitchen has approved for the franchisee's restaurant location. This approval is granted in accordance with a specific section (§7.1) outlined in the franchise agreement, indicating a structured process for site selection and franchisor approval.
Furthermore, the Site Approval Notice is legally integrated into the Franchise Agreement. Chop5 Salad Kitchen's issuance of the Site Approval Notice, even without the franchisee's countersignature or return, legally amends the agreement to formally identify the approved restaurant site. This means that once Chop5 Salad Kitchen issues the notice, the site is considered approved and the agreement is modified accordingly, regardless of whether the franchisee acknowledges it. This clause emphasizes the franchisor's control over site selection and its integration into the franchise agreement.
