According to Chop5 Salad Kitchen's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, owners, employees, and independent contractors of a Chop5 Salad Kitchen franchise are prohibited from using the Intellectual Property or Confidential Information in any capacity other than the operation of the franchise. They must maintain the confidentiality of Confidential Information at all times, refrain from making unauthorized copies of documents containing Confidential Information, and take all steps reasonably required to prevent unauthorized use or disclosure of Confidential Information. Confidential Information includes the Know-How, the Business Data, the terms of the Franchise Agreement, the components of the System, all information within or comprising the Manual, and all other concepts, ideas, trade secrets, financial information, marketing strategies, expansion strategies, studies, supplier information, customer information, franchisee information, investor information, flow charts, inventions, mask works, improvements, discoveries, standards, specifications, formulae, recipes, designs, sketches, drawings, policies, processes, procedures, methodologies and techniques, together with analyses, compilations, studies or other documents that are designated as confidential, are known to be considered confidential, and/or are by their nature inherently or reasonably to be considered confidential.

These restrictions are designed to protect Chop5 Salad Kitchen's brand and proprietary information. A prospective franchisee should understand these obligations and ensure that all personnel associated with their franchise comply with these requirements to avoid potential legal issues and protect the Chop5 Salad Kitchen system. The franchisee must ensure that all owners, employees, and independent contractors are aware of these restrictions and take appropriate measures to safeguard confidential information and intellectual property.
