According to Chop5 Salad Kitchen's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Confidentiality Agreement does not explicitly define geographic limitations regarding the use of confidential information. However, the agreement emphasizes protecting Chop5 Salad Kitchen's intellectual property and confidential information to prevent unfair competition and misuse.

The agreement states that owners, employees, and independent contractors of a Chop5 Salad Kitchen franchisee may gain knowledge of the System and Know-how, which are vital to the success of the franchise. Individuals are required to comply with the terms of the agreement to avoid damaging the System through unfair competition and to adhere to the terms of the Franchise Agreement applicable to owners.

The brand protection covenants within the agreement specify that individuals must refrain from using intellectual property or confidential information for any purpose other than operating the franchisee's restaurant in compliance with the Franchise Agreement and Manual. They must also maintain the confidentiality of the information at all times, prevent unauthorized copies, and take steps to prevent unauthorized use or disclosure. These obligations cease when the individual is no longer an owner of the franchisee.
