You must hire a licensed and bonded architect to prepare the initial design plans for the construction of your Restaurant and leasehold improvements.
We must approve the initial design plans to ensure they are consistent with our system standards.
Once approved, your architect must prepare detailed construction plans that: (a) are consistent with the approved design plans; (b) satisfy all required standards and specifications in the Manual; and (c) comply with all Laws (including the Americans with Disabilities Act), building codes, permit and lease requirements and restrictions applicable to the premises.
You must submit the final construction plans to us for approval.
The limited purpose of our review is to verify the construction plans are consistent with our system standards.
Once approved, you must, at your sole expense, construct and equip the premises according to the approved construction plans and the specifications in the Manual.

After Chop5 Salad Kitchen approves the construction plans, the franchisee is responsible for constructing and equipping the premises according to the approved plans and the specifications in the manual, at their sole expense.
