What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Chocolate Bash's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, waffle mix is not included in the initial franchise fee of $45,000. Instead, it is part of the initial inventory that franchisees must purchase directly from Chocolate Bash. The total investment for the initial inventory, which includes waffle mix, ranges from $8,000 to $12,000.

This means that prospective Chocolate Bash franchisees should budget an additional $8,000 to $12,000 on top of the $45,000 franchise fee to cover the cost of essential initial inventory items. This inventory includes pancake mix, crepe mix, Belgium chocolate, pistachio spread, Karak tea, Turkish coffee, staff uniforms, and specialty dine-in plates, in addition to the waffle mix.

It is important for potential franchisees to understand that the initial franchise fee and the initial inventory purchase are separate expenses. The franchise fee grants the franchisee the right to operate under the Chocolate Bash brand and system, while the inventory purchase provides the necessary products to begin operations. Franchisees should carefully consider these costs when evaluating the overall investment required to start a Chocolate Bash franchise.
