What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Chocolate Bash's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chocolate Bash uses outside vendors and consultants to produce advertising. The media coverage obtained through these efforts is primarily local. Chocolate Bash is not obligated to spend any specific amount on advertising in any particular franchisee's area or territory. The brand's website will be maintained by Chocolate Bash and paid for using the Marketing Fund. Beyond maintaining the website, Chocolate Bash has no other advertising obligations.

Prospective franchisees should note that they are required to contribute 1% of their gross sales per week to the Marketing Fund. Chocolate Bash retains the right to have different franchisees contribute different amounts or rates, and outlets owned by Chocolate Bash are not obligated to contribute to the Marketing Fund. Franchisees are also required to spend at least 4% of gross sales each month on marketing their individual business.

Chocolate Bash does not have an advertising council composed of franchisees, and the franchise agreement does not grant Chocolate Bash the power to form one. While Chocolate Bash does not currently have any local or regional advertising cooperatives, they reserve the right to require franchisees to participate in one in the future. If such cooperatives are formed, the contribution amount will be determined by a vote of the members, but it will not be less than 1% of gross sales.
