What This Means (2024 FDD)

Based on the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chocolate Bash requires the Principal Executive to attend a standard pre-opening training program. This training is made available to the Principal Executive and up to two other employees at Chocolate Bash's headquarters or a designated Chocolate Bash business.

Chocolate Bash does not charge a fee for this training; however, the franchisee is responsible for covering their own travel, lodging, meals, and other out-of-pocket expenses. The franchisor reserves the right to change the length and content of the initial training program depending on the experience and skill level of the individuals attending.

While the FDD mentions training for the Principal Executive and up to two employees, it does not explicitly state whether the general manager is required to attend this training or if there is a specific training program tailored for general managers. If requested by Chocolate Bash, the franchisee will ensure that their general manager and other key employees sign Chocolate Bash's current confidentiality and non-compete agreement (unless prohibited by law).

A prospective franchisee should clarify with Chocolate Bash the specific training requirements for a general manager, including the content, duration, location, and associated costs. Understanding the training expectations for a general manager is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and success of the Chocolate Bash franchise.
