What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Chocolate Bash's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, training classes are held at the company's offices and business location in Los Angeles, California. The FDD indicates that Chocolate Bash anticipates holding these training classes four to six times per year, scheduled according to the needs of new franchisees.

For prospective franchisees, this means travel to Los Angeles will be necessary to complete the initial training program. While there is no fee for up to three people to attend the training, franchisees are responsible for covering the travel and living expenses for all attendees. This could represent a significant upfront cost, especially for franchisees located far from Los Angeles.

The training program is led or supervised by Rana Albasha, who has six years of experience in the industry and with Chocolate Bash or its affiliates. The training includes the Operating Manual and other materials, lectures, discussions, and on-the-job demonstration and practice. Franchisees must complete the training to Chocolate Bash's satisfaction at least two weeks before opening their business.

Furthermore, the FDD states that Chocolate Bash reserves the right to change the length and content of the initial training program based on the experience and skill level of the individuals attending. This implies that the training may be tailored to some extent, but it also introduces a degree of uncertainty regarding the exact nature and duration of the training a new franchisee will receive.
