What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Chocolate Bash's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can terminate the Franchise Agreement if Chocolate Bash violates a material provision of the agreement. The franchisee must provide written notice to Chocolate Bash detailing the alleged default.

The termination becomes effective 10 days after Chocolate Bash receives this written notice of termination. This timeframe allows for a relatively quick resolution if a franchisee believes Chocolate Bash has not met its obligations under the agreement.

It is important to note that this termination right is specifically for the franchisee. Chocolate Bash has separate termination rights and cure periods depending on the nature of the breach by the franchisee. A prospective franchisee should carefully review the conditions under which either party can terminate the agreement to fully understand their rights and obligations.
