What This Means (2024 FDD)
Based on the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, it is not explicitly stated that a Chocolate Bash franchisee is required to provide copies of contracts to CB Franchising. The FDD does outline various obligations and requirements for franchisees, including adhering to system standards, maintaining the business location, and participating in meetings. However, there is no mention of a requirement to submit copies of contracts to the franchisor.
While the FDD does not specify a general requirement to submit contracts, it does state that when a franchisee proposes a location to CB Franchising, they must submit "all related information CB Franchising may request." This suggests that in the context of location approval, franchisees might need to provide certain agreements or documents related to the proposed site.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of whether franchisees must provide copies of contracts, prospective franchisees should directly ask CB Franchising about any specific instances or situations where contract submission is required. This will help clarify the scope of required documentation and ensure full compliance with the franchise agreement.
