What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Chocolate Bash's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to the franchisor's System Standards, which include technology standards for payment acceptance systems. This means a Chocolate Bash franchisee is required to use specific technologies and systems for accepting payments as determined by CB Franchising.

This requirement ensures uniformity and consistency across all Chocolate Bash locations in how payments are processed. By mandating specific payment acceptance systems, Chocolate Bash aims to maintain brand standards and potentially leverage negotiated rates with payment processing vendors.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they may be required to enter into business relationships with specific vendors for point-of-sale systems, credit card processing, and other payment technologies. It is important for a potential franchisee to understand the costs associated with these required systems and vendor relationships, as well as any potential limitations or restrictions on payment methods they can accept. Franchisees should inquire about approved or required vendors for payment processing and understand the terms of those relationships.
