What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Chocolate Bash's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Multi-Unit Development Agreement (MUDA) form is attached as Exhibit C. This agreement is relevant if you intend to develop multiple Chocolate Bash outlets according to an agreed-upon schedule.
The MUDA grants you the right to establish a mutually-agreed number of additional outlets, subject to certain conditions. These conditions include complying with the development schedule, demonstrating sufficient financial and organizational capacity to manage each additional Chocolate Bash business, maintaining compliance with brand requirements at your existing Chocolate Bash businesses, and remaining in good standing under all agreements with Chocolate Bash.
Chocolate Bash will need to approve the location of future sites and territories, and their then-current standards for sites and territories will apply. If you and Chocolate Bash sign a MUDA, you will have the right to establish a mutually-agreed number of additional outlets.
