What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Chocolate Bash's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, pre-opening training is a key component of the franchise agreement. Chocolate Bash will provide its standard pre-opening training to the Principal Executive and up to two additional employees. This training will take place at Chocolate Bash's headquarters or at a designated Chocolate Bash business.
Notably, Chocolate Bash does not charge a fee for this training, which is a benefit for franchisees. However, the franchisee is responsible for covering their own expenses related to travel, lodging, meals, and other out-of-pocket costs associated with attending the training. Chocolate Bash retains the right to modify the length and content of the training program based on the experience and skill level of the individuals attending.
In addition to the formal training, Chocolate Bash will also provide on-site opening assistance. A representative from Chocolate Bash will support the franchisee's business opening with at least three days of on-site training and assistance. This on-site support is designed to help ensure a smooth and successful launch of the new Chocolate Bash location. These measures are fairly typical in the franchise industry, as franchisors want to ensure consistent quality and service across all locations.
