What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chicken Guy's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chicken Guy can waive the training requirement for a transferee in its reasonable business discretion. However, if not waived, the transferee and their designated employees must complete the development training programs outlined in Section 5.H of the agreement.
This waiver provision offers flexibility in the transfer process. Chicken Guy may consider factors such as the transferee's prior experience and qualifications when deciding whether to waive the training. This could be beneficial for experienced restaurant operators looking to acquire a Chicken Guy franchise, as they may not need to undergo the full training program.
However, it's important to note that the decision to waive training is at Chicken Guy's discretion. A prospective transferee should not assume that training will automatically be waived, even with extensive experience. If training is required, the transferee will be responsible for the costs associated with attending the training, including travel, living, and food expenses for themselves and their employees.
