In order to recognize the contribution of United States military personnel, attract new franchisees and encourage the development of franchised Chicken Guy restaurants ("Chicken Guy! Restaurants"), Chicken Guy has implemented a veterans incentive program ("Veterans Program") for qualified veteran franchisees that develop and open new Chicken Guy Restaurants. Franchisee (or if Franchisee is an entity, a holder of at least a 51% ownership in Franchisee) is a veteran and has provided Chicken Guy with a DD Form 214 or other adequate documentation, as determined by Chicken Guy, demonstrating honorable discharge from the United States military. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Chicken Guy FDD, the Veterans Program is designed to recognize the contributions of United States military personnel, attract new franchisees, and encourage the development of franchised Chicken Guy restaurants. To qualify for the program, the franchisee (or a holder of at least 51% ownership in the franchisee entity) must be a veteran and provide Chicken Guy with a DD Form 214 or other adequate documentation demonstrating honorable discharge from the United States military. Additionally, the franchisee should not currently operate any Chicken Guy restaurants.
The Veterans Program aims to incentivize veterans to become franchisees by offering benefits and modifying certain provisions of the standard Franchise Agreement. This suggests that Chicken Guy values the skills and experience that veterans bring to the table and sees them as a valuable asset to the franchise system.
For prospective franchisees who are veterans, this program presents a potential opportunity to receive additional support or incentives when starting a Chicken Guy franchise. It is important to carefully review the specific terms and conditions outlined in the Veterans Addendum to fully understand the benefits and obligations associated with the program.
