Under what condition will Chicken Guy authorize the opening of a Franchised Restaurant?

Chicken_Guy Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

nt. We require a minimum of one certified manager for each Franchised Restaurant. We will not authorize your Franchised Restaurant to open until an adequate number of your managers (as determined by us during the construction phase in our sole discretion based on the size of your Franchised Restaurant and the planned hours of operation) have attended, successfully completed and been "Certified" in the initial manager training program. We will notify you of your trainee's certification status at the end of the initial manager training program.

After you open the Franchised Restaurant, any employee of yours who assumes any management position must, within 30 days after assuming such position, attend the initial manager training program and become certified for that position. We will provide the initial manager training program unless we have certified a Chicken Guy! Restaurant operated by you as a Certified Training Restaurant as discussed below. The initial manager training program is provided to share our brand operating standards with your trainees to protect the System and the Proprietary Marks and not to control the day to day operation of your Franchised Restaurant.

The length of our initial manager training program averages four weeks to learn the required skills.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Chicken Guy's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chicken Guy will not authorize a franchised restaurant to open until an adequate number of the franchisee's managers have attended, successfully completed, and been "Certified" in the initial manager training program. The number of managers deemed adequate is determined by Chicken Guy during the construction phase, based on the size of the restaurant and planned hours of operation. Chicken Guy will notify the franchisee of their trainees' certification status at the end of the initial manager training program.

Additionally, Chicken Guy will not authorize the restaurant to open until an adequate number of employees have attended and successfully completed the Team Member Training. The number of employees deemed adequate is determined by Chicken Guy in its sole discretion based on the restaurant's size, location, hours of operation, and proposed work hours per team member.

Chicken Guy also requires express written authorization to open the Franchised Restaurant if the franchisee has complied with all conditions.

These stipulations ensure that franchisees and their staff are properly trained and prepared to uphold Chicken Guy's operational standards and protect the brand's reputation. Franchisees should prioritize staffing and training to avoid delays in their restaurant opening.
