What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Chicken Guy's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chicken Guy will provide franchisees with any required development training. This training occurs before the franchisee opens their restaurant. Chicken Guy also offers an initial manager training program that lasts approximately four weeks.

The initial manager training program includes classroom instruction and on-the-job training at a company-operated Chicken Guy restaurant. Franchisees (or their Operating Principal) and up to two managers designated by the franchisee must attend this training program at least 45 days before opening their restaurant. Upon completion of the program, attendees must pass an exam to receive a "Certificate of Completion" and become "Certified" to operate the franchise. Chicken Guy requires at least one certified manager for each restaurant and will not authorize the restaurant to open until an adequate number of managers have been certified.

Chicken Guy also provides team member training. Before opening, the franchisee or a certified manager must train all newly hired team members. For a franchisee's first Chicken Guy restaurant, Chicken Guy will conduct the team member training on-site for non-management staff for seven days before and seven days after the opening date. The franchisee must reimburse Chicken Guy for the travel and lodging expenses incurred by their training personnel for this on-site training. Chicken Guy will notify the franchisee if any staff member does not successfully complete the program.
