What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Chicken Guy's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chicken Guy has the right to change or modify the System after a franchised restaurant opens. This includes modifications to the manual, the menu (including items and formats), product packaging, required equipment, signage, and the building and premises of the franchised restaurant. These modifications can also extend to the trade dress, décor, color schemes, presentation of proprietary marks, administrative forms, reporting and payment methods, and the adoption of new or modified proprietary marks or copyrighted materials.

For a prospective franchisee, this means that the Chicken Guy business they initially invest in could undergo significant changes over time. The franchisee must adapt to these changes, which could involve additional investments in new equipment, signage, or remodeling to comply with Chicken Guy's evolving brand standards. The franchisee agreement requires compliance with these modifications.

While such changes can help maintain brand relevance and competitiveness, they also pose a risk to franchisees who may face unexpected costs and operational adjustments. Franchisees should inquire about the frequency and scope of potential system modifications, as well as any financial assistance or support Chicken Guy might offer to ease the transition. Understanding the potential for change is crucial for budgeting and long-term planning as a Chicken Guy franchisee.
