What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chicken Guy's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Development Principal must have a minimum of five years of full profit and loss responsibility and accountability. In addition, they must have a history of operating at least as many restaurants as the Developer has agreed to develop under their agreement with Chicken Guy.
This requirement ensures that the individual overseeing the development of multiple Chicken Guy franchises has sufficient experience in restaurant management and financial oversight. This experience is intended to help ensure the successful rollout of new locations.
Furthermore, the Development Principal must be a member of the Continuity Group and have full control over the day-to-day development of the franchised restaurants. They must also devote substantial time and effort to supervising the development and cannot engage in other business activities that demand significant management responsibility. Chicken Guy also retains the right to request that the Development Principal complete their development training and initial manager training program. These stipulations are designed to ensure that the Development Principal is fully committed, properly trained, and capable of managing the development process effectively, aligning with Chicken Guy's standards and operational expectations.
