What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chicken Guy's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally responsible for expenditures related to changes or modifications to the Chicken Guy system. The franchisee must accept and implement any changes or modifications to the system as if they were part of the original agreement. This includes making the necessary expenditures that these changes may reasonably require.
Chicken Guy has the sole discretion to modify the system, including changes to the manual, menu, required equipment, signage, building premises, presentation of marks, administrative forms, and payment methods. Franchisees are obligated to comply with these modifications. This can also extend to technology systems, where franchisees may be required to purchase new or upgraded software, manuals, and materials, or even upgrade or replace their entire technology system to maintain compatibility with Chicken Guy's standards.
Furthermore, franchisees are responsible for keeping their technology systems in good repair and making any additions, changes, modifications, substitutions, and replacements to their hardware, software, telephone and data lines, and other technology-related facilities as directed by Chicken Guy. This ensures operational efficiency and communication capability between the franchisee's restaurant and Chicken Guy's systems. Franchisees must also adhere to Chicken Guy's policies regarding non-cash payment systems and maintain relationships with approved credit card vendors.
