What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Chicken Guy's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee or their employees attend optional development training, the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel, living, food, and other incidental expenses. This means that in addition to any tuition fees that Chicken Guy may charge for the training itself, the franchisee must also budget for these additional costs.

This policy is fairly standard in the franchise industry, as it places the responsibility for these variable costs on the franchisee, who has more control over how many employees attend and what their spending habits are. It's important for prospective Chicken Guy franchisees to factor these expenses into their overall budget when considering the costs associated with training and development.

Specifically, the FDD states that the franchisee "will be required to pay all travel, living, food and other incidental expenses incurred by Franchisee and its employees while attending development training and optional development training." This reinforces that the financial burden for these costs falls squarely on the franchisee, regardless of whether the training is mandatory or optional.
