What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chicken Guy's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, upon termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, the franchisee must promptly make alterations and modifications to the Franchised Location. These changes should clearly differentiate the location from its former appearance as a Chicken Guy restaurant. Additionally, the franchisee must make any specific changes that Chicken Guy requests for this purpose.
If the franchisee fails to promptly make these alterations and modifications, Chicken Guy has the right to do so at the franchisee's expense. The franchisee is responsible for paying Chicken Guy upon receipt of an invoice for these costs. Chicken Guy can perform these actions without being considered guilty of trespass or other tort.
Furthermore, if the franchisee has used the Proprietary Marks in connection with the Internet, any Website, or any Electronic Identifier, Chicken Guy has the option to have the franchisee cancel or assign all rights to Chicken Guy or its designee. The franchisee is not entitled to any compensation from Chicken Guy if Chicken Guy exercises these rights or options.
